Madelyn Zanecchia Obituary
Born in Johnston, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Anna (Medeiros) Scungio.
Mrs. Zanecchia was a Bus Monitor for the Johnston School Department for the past five years. Mary was a member, and a two- year consecutive term President of the Womens Auxiliary of the Santa Maria di Prata Society; and was, also, a member of the Local #808 International Laborers Union.
She is survived by her loving children, Linda A. Vendetti and her husband Albert Sr. of Johnston, Lorraine-Rose Regnault and her husband Stephen of West Kingston, her cherished grandchildren, Michael J. Vendetti Sr., Albert J. Vendetti Jr., Sheri N. Mahoney , Christen R. Ciarlo; her great- grandchildren, Andriana, Michael Jr., James and Anthony Vendetti , Virginia and Rachael Mahoney. She was the sister of Joseph Scungio of Johnston, and the late Filomena Testa, Jennie Morris, Rose Zoglio and Anthony Scungio. Mary, also, is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and friends.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston.
