Patience Downey-Palazio Obituary
She was born in South Kingstown, a daughter of the late James Downey Jr. and Patricia (Doyle) Downey. Penny was a CNA and owned Professional Home Care Co. specializing in Hospice and the critically ill and had also worked with Hospice Care of RI in the same capacity. She was a graduate of Prout High School and CCRI.
Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Victor Kinoian of Cranston, Tara Johnson of Cambridge, MA and Joseph Palazio of Cranston. She was the sister of Dr. James Downey III and John Downey of Narragansett, Tricia Downey of Hopkinton and Michael Downey of Charlestown. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30am at the Nardolillo Funeral Home SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt 1A), Narragansett. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Providence Rescue Mission Homeless Shelter, 627 Cranston St., Providence, RI 02907.
