Stephen Gaskin Obituary
Stephen was the son of the late Charles E. and Dorothy C. (Youde) Gaskin and the son-in-law of John and Maria Bordieri.
Besides his wife and children, he is also survived by his 6 brothers Charles and Maria Gaskin, Ronald and Helene Gaskin, Donald Gaskin, Timothy and Dawne Gaskin, Richard Gaskin, Jeffrey Gaskin and 5 sisters Patricia Gaskin, Holly Moniz, Dorothy and Everett Melo, Heidi and Joseph Cole, Susan and Gregory Caldarone. He was the Brother-in-Law of Karen and Enrique Remolina, David and Brenda Bordieri and the late Joseph Moniz. Stephen was also the cherished uncle of 15 nieces and nephews and the treasured friend to many.
He was a hard working man whose strength, willpower and spirit will always inspire the people whose lives he touched. Though his journey has ended, those who knew and loved Stephen will tell you that in addition to the endless and unconditional love he had for his family and friends, he was also a die-hard Lakers, Dolphins and Red Sox fan, wine enthusiast and found peace and enjoyment in his back yard. He lived life to the fullest and was a firm believer of living for today. He will be sadly missed however we know that he will always be with us.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. His burial will be private. Keeping with his wishes, visitation hours will be respectfully omitted.

Cathy, Amy, and Stephen:
Stephen was an inspiration to all of us who knew and loved him. He was a fighter right to the end. Cathy, you took such great care of him and I am so thankful for that. We have great memories of Family Reunions, Birthdays, Christmas, and that Thanksgiving when Stephen wanted all his family there. Stephen was a great carpenter and Everett is so thankful that he had the opportunity to work with him. He will be greatly missed.

Cathy, Amy and Stephen,
I am unable to fathom the depth of your loss and sorrow. Stephen was the brother I never had, as well as dad number 2 to David (Booger). There are not enough words for me to express the gratitude and respect I have toward Stephen for the unconditional love he gave to our David, which showed to me the person and man he truely was. The relationship they shared was very special to them and to us, and will never, ever be forgotten.
It was sooooo obvious to all, the love Stephen possessed for the three of you, as well as his extended family was endless and will live on through his memory......Stephen the husband, dad, brother, uncle........the man, will be greatly missed!!

Uncle Stephen, who could forget the bird sounds you always use to make. I will always remember that and just the thought of it right now brings a smile to my face.
