Helen Costa Obituary

COSTA, HELEN ROSEMARY, 82, of Winter Street, Cumberland passed away Monday in the Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the husband of Serafim Costa .

Born in East Providence, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Ellen (McGovern) Hail, who passed away when she was a young child. Mrs. Costa was raised by her late aunt Mary Elliott. She resided in Cumberland for more than 50 years. She was an Shippper for the former Health Tex Co., for 20 years until her retirement. Mrs. Costa was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.

Beside her husband she leaves two sons, Cumberland School Committee member Donald Costa and his wife Cheryl and Paul Costa and his wife Sheila both of Cumberland. One sister Betty Peloquin of South Attleboro; four grandchildren Kristen; Courtney; Ryan and Emily. She was the sister of the late Louise; Gladys and Manny Elliott.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9 AM from the J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours Wednesday 5 to 8 PM.
