Lewis Guy Obituary

GUY, LEWIS M., 70, of Fall River passed away on Monday August 4, 2008 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the husband of forty six years to Claire (Desrosiers) Guy.

Lewis was born in Fall River on December 2, 1937 the son of the late Bernard and Rose (Greenberg) Guy. He was a graduate of Diman Regional Technical Vocational High School class of 1956. Mr. Guy worked for the Stop & Shop Company for forty six years, in the grocery receiving department. He was a board member of Blessed Sacrament Credit Union and Saint Jean the Baptist Credit Union both in Fall River. Lewis was a very active union member and shop steward for United Food and Commercial Workers union local 328 . He volunteered at the Niagara Senior Center, and ran the pitch league . Survivors beside his wife of forty six years are a daughter Carrie Guy of Fall River, MA a cousin Warren Foster and his wife Gerry of Cranston, RI, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 12 noon in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. CALLING HOURS Prior to Service from 10-12Noon. Burial is Private at the Families Request.
