Joan Bliss Obituary

BLISS, JOAN M., (COWSILL) 55, of Russell Lane passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Kevin Bliss.

Born in Providence, she was the devoted daughter of the late Eugene and Kathleen (Kern) Cowsill. She was employed at CCRI for 32 years before her retirement.

Besides her husband she is survived by her sister Barbara Diaz and her husband Alan of Canterbury, Conn; two stepdaughters Kathryn Amaral and Ashley Carroll; three nephews Shane, Jaime, and Thomas Diaz and a niece Kelly Diaz.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 10am from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Visiting hours Saturday MORNING 9 to10am. Burial will be private.
