Joan Bliss Obituary
Born in Providence, she was the devoted daughter of the late Eugene and Kathleen (Kern) Cowsill. She was employed at CCRI for 32 years before her retirement.
Besides her husband she is survived by her sister Barbara Diaz and her husband Alan of Canterbury, Conn; two stepdaughters Kathryn Amaral and Ashley Carroll; three nephews Shane, Jaime, and Thomas Diaz and a niece Kelly Diaz.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 10am from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Visiting hours Saturday MORNING 9 to10am. Burial will be private.

I was deeply sadenned to hear of Joan's passing , too late to come in person and give my condolences to all of you. She was a dear friend for many years and so I will keep prayers and sincere thoughts for all of you who have lost her in this world and for her peace of mind and heart in the next.
