Francis Lynch Obituary

LYNCH, FRANCIS B. 'FRANK', 84, of Meadowcrest Drive, Riverside, died on August 9, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Doris E. (Gervais) Lynch.

Born in Taunton, MA, a son of the late Francis P. and Susan (Brennan) Lynch, he lived in Riverside for 50 years. Mr. Lynch was a constable for the State of Rhode Island for 40 years before retiring in 1994.

Frank was a graduate of Taunton High School and attended Harvard University. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II.

Besides his wife of 60 years, he is survived by his loving children; Deborah S. Lynch of VT, Barry F. Lynch of Warren and Brian P. Lynch and his wife Anella of East Providence, a grandson; Christopher Lynch of East Providence, and a sister; Diana (Lynch) Coyne of Taunton, MA. He was the brother of the late Mary (Lynch) DeGiovanni and Stephen P. Lynch.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 13 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Calling hours are Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Frank's memory to Amos House, 413 Friendship Street, Providence, RI, 02907 would be deeply appreciated.
