George Alosi Obituary

ALOSI, GEORGE 84, of Hilton Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on August 14, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Vera (Feather) Alosi.

Born in Bristol, a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Cordeau) Alosi, he was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Mr. Alosi was a supervisor for the former Martin-Copeland Optical Mfg. for 48 years before retiring in 1989.

George was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. He was a member of the Riverside American Legion Post #10 where he was Past Commander, Past District Commander, Past Department Historian and a member of the 40 & 8 Club. He was also a member of the Riverside Bishop Hickey Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Alosi was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II.

Besides his wife of 63 years, he is survived by two sons; Robert J. Alosi of the Villages of Florida and Donald G. Alosi of Ooltewah, TN, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late James Alosi and Tina Dontelli.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday August 19, 2008 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNER AL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 7:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 9 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 4-7 pm.
