Liam McCafferty Obituary
Liam was a member of local 271 International Union of Laborers, and worked many jobs in and around RI.
He was the son of Therese A. (Gregoire) McCafferty and the late Philip J. McCafferty, Sr.
Besides his mother is survived by his life companion Anne D'Andrea; five sisters: Claudette (Casey) Hardie, Michele D'Ellena, Kathleen Smith, Maureen Jones and Monique Lenzi, three brothers: Philip, Sean, and Marc McCafferty; twenty two nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Tuesday at 8:30 am from the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., E. Greenwich with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Rd., Warwick. Burial will be in St. Mark's Cemetery, Jamestown. Calling hours Monday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

"Dude", You have been part of my family for so many years. I know my mom thought of you as one of her own. All the times she made you stop at the house so she could give you a "goody package" on your way home from work. You were a great friend to my father John and brother Bill. You were always willing to help out your friends. Thank you for that you have done over the years for my family. And all the laughs! Especially at the Cape - you and John falling off the Jet ski and not able to get up! Very funny. You were a goober. I will always remember you when I watch the Wizard of Oz and see the Cowardly Lion. I had the pleasure of really getting to know the true you. You were gruff on the outside but a big softy inside. I am sure God and all His angels will comfort your family until they see you again. Take Care my friend. Until we meet again. "Bart"

To Liam's family and friends,
I was saddened and shocked to hear about Liam's accident. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Years ago, Liam and a group of us took the train to Philadelphia to see an Amnesty International concert. Liam had us laughing the entire trip. He always knew how to have a good time and never took things too seriously. I'll always have fond memories of him and his infectious laugh. Take care during this sad time. With Liam's passing, the world just got a little less funny. :(

I had the pleasure of working with Liam years ago at Narragansett Improvement Co. in Providence, He was a can do type of guy with a great sense of humor. I found out today that my friend Liam died...We were the kind of friends that no matter how much time passed that when we did talk it was as tho little time had passed...I will miss our talks...his silly laugh...i will miss him...my thoughts and prayers are with his family and his friends...and those he had many. Until we meet again, my friend.

I was shocked to find out about your brother Liam. I remember him from when he worked for my Dad at Arrow Limousine and your Dad owned the funeral home. He always made us laugh.!! Please know that your in our thoughts and prayers as well as the rest of your family.

My name is Matt O'Donnell and I worked with Liam over the years on many jobs. I did not learn of his passing until this evening and wish I could have attended the calling hours. My thoughts are with you and your family in your time of loss. Liam was a genuinely nice guy who would go out of his way to make you smile. He will be missed by many.

We just found out about Liam... Such a shock! We will miss him. We only saw each other occasionally but were the kind of friends that time did not change. Our thoughts and prayers are with his Mother and brothers and sisters at this time.
