Sophie Kapinos Obituary
Born in Ware, MA daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Krol) Chrabascz. Sophie had worked at the former Springfield Armory, and later worked as a payroll supervisor for Electrolux Co. in Springfield. She was a Communicant of Christ the King Church of Kingston, RI. She was the widow of Edward T. Kapinos and mother of the late Edwin R. Kapinos. She is survived by her daughter Connie E. Lachowicz and her husband Tony of Kingston, RI a grand daughter Stephanie K. Lachowicz and her husband Drew Webster of San Francisco, CA a sister Amelia White of East Longmeadow, MA and her cherished grand dog Ella, and many extended family members.
Funeral services Tuesday August 19, 2008 with family and friends gathering at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA at 9 AM. A liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 181 Hubbard St. Ludlow, MA. Rites of committal will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday, August 18 from 5-8 PM. Donations in Sophie's memory may be made to the Animal Rescue League, P.O. Box 458, Wakefield, RI 02880. I knew your mom from Belmont Market. She was always happy no matter how she was feeling, so she always lifted my spirits. I will miss seeing her in Thursdays when she always shopped.

I worked with your Mother at Electrolux for many years in the ContractmDepartment until she retired. Even thopugh I was young enough to be her daughter, Sophie became a good friend of mine.
