I just got home from vacation and was catching up on the newspapers when I saw the notice for Gerry (Mr. Archambault to me!). He was one of the best teachers I have ever had and I have often thought of him through the years. I just want the family to know how much his passion for teaching really paid off. He was a very special person who will never be forgotten.

Gerald Archambault was one of my teachers in the Coventry School system, when I wanted to give up on my school work as well as myself he was there to push me to do better,he helped me realize that I did have a brain and that I was smarter than most gave me credit for.It is because of him I wanted to do better for myself and push myself to go further.I find myself often thinking of him as I go along in my life and carry his lessons in my heart and share them with my children.I thank him for his guidance and for opening a whole new world for me when I was a little girl.
I am so sorry for your loss.

We have special memories of Uncle Gerry and he will be greatly missed. How fortunate we were to make the trip to Rhode Island with Louise a few years back and visit with you. We are keeping Gerry and each of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Much love from Minnesota.

Dear Claire and Family,

Our hearts were saddened to hear about the death of Gerry, even though it was expected. The last time we were in West Warwick (1999), Gerry shared much Archambault family history with us and showed us many of the places that Justa & Al and the other Cardinal kids had seen & talked about over the years. It was so meaningful to all of us because it put much of Justa's family history into context for us. (How she loved to talk about her beloved RI and her growing up years and her family!) And as you all know, Gerry was quite the historian so we all learned alot! Unfortunately, so much history is lost each time a member of Gerry's generation passes on. Our 2 sons still talk about all they saw and heard from him and about the cousins and cousins' children that they met on that vacation. Yesterday when we were talking about Gerry and that trip with our boys, Rory mentioned that "66(?) Camaro that Michael had in his garage. He lusted after that car for a long time until he got a Camaro of his own when he was in high school, and which he recently sold. Ryan remembers the different streets that we named after his aunts & uncles. Al will miss having his periodic phone conversations with Gerry about what's happening in RI and with the family there. Gerry and our memories of him will always be in our hearts and he in our prayers. Our heartfelt condolences to all of you.

Alberic & Christopher are anxious to see all of you and relieve some of their memories of their many trips to RI and you all. They are also anxious to see the ocean again!
