John P. Trojan

TROJAN, JOHN P., 73, of Old Mendon Rd., Cumberland, died Monday, August 18, 2008 in the VA Medical Center, Providence. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late John F. and Mary A. (Bernard) Trojan. He and his wife, Lucille (Baril) Trojan just celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 17, 2008.

A Korean War Veteran, Mr. Trojan started his career as a Metal Lather, also served as business agent for the former Union Local #359 and was the longtime owner and operator of the former Century Aluminum, Pawtucket until his retirement. He wintered in No. Fort Myers, Fl, enjoyed golfing and sculpturing life size pre-historic animals.

Besides his wife, he is survived by five children, Kim Crawford and John 'Jay' Trojan, both of Lincoln, Karen Matte, Kelly Elliott and Joel Trojan, all of Cumberland, his siblings, Mary 'Dolly' Brown and Joseph Trojan, both of Cumberland, Edward Trojan of North Kingstown, Irene Midgley and Richard Trojan, both of Pawtucket and Dorothy Beaulieu of So. Attleboro, MA and fourteen grandchildren. He was the father of the late Jeffrey Trojan and brother of the late James Trojan.

His funeral will be held Friday, August 22, 2008 at 8 AM from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in Historic St. Joseph's Church, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 PM to 8 PM in the Lincoln Funeral Home.
