William Scanlon Obituary

SCANLON, WILLIAM J. JR., 67, died at home with his family and friends by his side, Saturday Aug. 16, 2008. He was a resident of Greenville. Born in Franklin, NH, son of the late William and Dorothy (Parker) Scanlon.

He worked for many years as a Jewelry Salesman, working for the former Armbrust Chain Comp. of Providence. He most recently worked as a School Bus driver for Dattco Bus Comp. of Smithfield, and also for Nocera's Liquor Store. He was a member of the VFW, post #1271. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam.

Mr. Scanlon is survived by a son James Scanlon of Smithfield, a daughter, Kelly Scanlon-Prieto of Narragansett, one grandchild, and a sister Silvia A. Scanlon of Barnstable, MA. He was the brother of the late James Scanlon and Dorothy Carter.

His funeral including visitation will be Saturday Aug. 23, 2008 at 9am from the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave. Pascoag, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave. Pascoag. Burial will be private. www.boucherfh.com

I will truly miss him and seeing his smile in the morning. He will always be my "dry rye" Bill.
I can't be there saturday but please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
