Armando Martone Obituary
Born in Providence on January 1, 1925, a son of the late Espedito and Civita (DiSanto) Martone, he has been a resident of the South County area for the past 45 years coming from Johnston. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army. For 30 years he had worked as a construction foreman for the Gilbane Corporation retiring in 1985. He was a member of the International Laborers Union of North America local #271.
Mr. Martone is survived by: Three Sons: Thomas Donovan of Sarasota, FL., Kevin Donovan of Charlestown, Michael Martone of Mashpee, MA., One Daughter: Christine Comella of Johnston, Two Brothers: Victor Martone of Cranston Anthony Martone of Smithfield, Four Grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Louis Martone and Teresa Mero. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service with Full Military Honors in RI Veterans Cemetery, Rt. 2 Exeter on Monday at 9:30am. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements made by the Forbes Funeral Home.
