Dennis OKeefe Obituary
Born in Bronx, NY, son of the late Eugene and Marie R. (McGrath) OKeefe, he had lived in Tiverton for the past 28 years. Mr. OKeefe served his country in the United States Navy. A graduate from Hofstra University with a degree in Civil Engineering, he made a career in commercial construction working for several companies including H. Carr & Sons and Jesmac Corporation. Upon retirement, he fulfilled his lifelong interest in farming at Wingover Farm, Tiverton. He was a member and past commodore of the Westport Yacht Club.
Including his wife, survivors include 3 sons: Patrick J. OKeefe of FL, Andrew D. Munafo of RI and David M. Munafo of RI; 3 daughters: Penny OKeefe of MO, Kimlin OKeefe of RI and Julie A. Munafo of VT; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was father of the late Denelle E. OKeefe.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 3:30 P.M. Calling hours Monday from 5 - 7 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Bedford Whaling Museum, 18 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford, MA 02740 or Rhode Island Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI 02907.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Dennis was one of Carlos' favorite and a friend while working at Jesmac. Our family will always remember him for the good working relationship the two of them shared. He will be in our hearts.

I am proud to say that Dennis OKeefe was my grandfather and the great grandfather of my two daughters. I have alot of good memories from him, he and margie sent me to camp that was wonderful, i had alot of fun, i also remember the first day he got his two dogs pogie and bass they were so small, we took them for a boat ride i think they had fun, i loved the boat and going fishing..I love you forever and you'll never be forgotten!
