Donald W. Lloyd D.V.M

LLOYD, DONALD W. D.V.M., 76, of Mendon, MA, died Thursday at Tufts Medical Center Boston. He was the husband of the late Rolande (Fiola) Lloyd.

He was born in Tewksbury, MA, a son of the late Elmer & Elizabeth Lloyd.

He was a Veterinarian for over 30 years at the Raynham Dog Track, and he was still currently practicing there. He had served in the US Navy as a machinist from 1951 until 1955.

He was a graduate of Bristol County Agricultural High School Class of 1950. He was also a Graduate of Michigan State University Class of 1961. Mr. Lloyd has lived in Mendon since 1988 coming from Fall River. He was a member of the Bichon Frise Club of America, he had owned and operated the former Fall River Veterinary Clinic from 1963 until 1988.

He is survived by his former wife June (Hixon) Wildes of Somerset, a son Gilbert Lloyd of Somerset, a step-son Rian Sousa of Wayland, MA, a daughter Dori Lloyd-Banky of East Freetown, MA, a sister Emily Whitney of Tallahassee, Florida, grandfather of Benjamin, Samuel, Nathan Lloyd, and Ariel Sousa.
