James Summerville Obituary

SUMMERVILLE, JAMES P., 60, of Salisbury Street, died on August 15, 2008 in the Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Antoinette (Young) Summerville.

He was born in Monrovia, Liberia; a son of Seo (Polue) Summerville and the late Emmanuel Summerville.

He was the father of Julia Summerville and a step-father of Marie Young, Linda Young, and Kyndell Douglas. He was the brother of Eddie, Luke, Emmanuel C. Jr., Arthur, Prince Summerville, Agnes Tarpeh, Laurendy Moore, Amelia Voker, Linda Summerville, Lethia Summerville, and Laurendy Wango. He had 1 grandson, 6 step-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.

A mass will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral of St. John, 271 North Main Street. Calling hour in the church Friday, August 29, 2008 6-10 p.m. A repast will be held on August 30, 2008 at Davey Lopes Recreation Center, 227 Dudley Street, Providence, RI 02907 immediately following the interment service. www.bellfuneralhome.net
