I am one of Uncle Jack's nieces & live in California & just heard about my Uncle Jack. I am very saddened, he was my favorite uncle. If it weren't for him, my mom (his sister) would not let me pierce my ears. He pierced them with 'sleepers'. I still have and wear the watch he made me on my 10th birthday (39 yrs. ago!). My children & I were able to visit with him, Aunt Hazel, Donna, Linda, Jen & her son in 2003 and I got to visit again in 2004. I will always cherish my lifetime memories of Uncle Jack, so many great ones. He truly was a great person & always a gentleman and will be missed. May God continue to bless and comfort you, Aunt Hazel, Linda & Jen. I am so sad to hear about Donna, also. Great Blessings and Support to You All

Mrs Fitzgerald + Family,
We are neighbors of yours and our deepest sympathy goes out to you and the family.
Mr Fitzgerald was a sweet man.
My boys use to remember him as the nice man who gave out the biggest candy bars for Halloween. The day this happened my youngest who is now 14 said that about the candy bars and it put tears in my eyes, but it put a little smile on my face to. He will be missed by alot of people.

OLD IRISH BLESSING:
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again.
May the Lord hold you in the palm of his hand.
John R.I.P. You will be missed.

I will always remember your husband because he loved to hear me play the old hymns at church. I appreciated that very much. When I had to stop playing I know he was a little sad. Better yet, I know I will see him again one day in Heaven, where we can all sing together again!!
Mrs. Fitzgerald, my heart goes out to you and we are praying for you at this time.

Jen, Mrs. Hersperger, and Hazel,
I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I moved up near Jen's grandparents old house a few years ago and ever since then I have been thinking of them and all the times Jens grandfather took us places and we played at his house while Jens Mom slept after work. When I heard the news of the fire I never guested it would be them. I did not know they moved there. But I will always remember playing at their house as kids. I am also sorry to hear of Aunt Donna's death. Boy have you guys been through enough. My deepest sympathy goes out to you all. May god Bless you and keep you all in the path of his light!! Jen remember Willy Wonka Rocks!!

I only met John twice, but am the aunt to his granddaughter Jenny Hersperger. He was a very important part of her life, which shows me how good a man he was, because she has become a wonderful woman. My thoughts are with Linda, his daughter and Jenny. We love you.

Jack Fitzgerald was my brother-in-law. We were friends as well in in-laws-for over 70 years. He was always there to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. Especially after my husband passed away. He will be missed by my sister Hazel and his daughter Linda; as well as grandchildren and many friends. I now live in Tennessee with my daughter; but my thoughts and prayers are with Jack and his family. I too will miss him sorely.

Jack Fitzgerald was a favorite uncle to me all my life. One story he told stands out in my mind. When a small child, he wandered off and lost his way in Woonsocket. Near his home was a statue of Jesus in a church yard. After wandering for a long time, he came to that statue and from there knew his way home. He always ended that story saying Jesus showed him the way home. I know Jesus has him at home now.

I had the opportunity to meet John & Hazel about 10 yrs ago when I purchased their home on Smith St. in Lincoln. They are such a loving, adorable couple. I would see them having breakfast together every once & a while at Maria's Restaurant and would also go over & say hi to them.
Mrs. Fitzgerald, My sympathies go out to you and your family. Mr. Fitzgerald will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. He is such an adorable, sweet loving man.
