Ardell Thrasher Obituary

THRASHER, ARDELL (COLQUITT) 92, of Charlesgate Nursing Center died Tuesday at the center. She was the wife of the late Inus Thrasher.

Born in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of the late Houston and Lottie (Hall) Colquitt.

Mrs. Thrasher was a cooks helper for the state of RI for many years, before retiring in 1978. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God, serving on the usher board.

She is survived by her loving son, James Thrasher and his wife, Arline; two grandsons, James Thrasher, Jr. and Michael Thrasher, all of Providence; a nephew and his wife, Houston and Ruth Banks and a niece, Shelda Banks, all of Los Angeles, CA. She was the sister of the late Lawrence Colquitt, Inez Thompson, and Florence Spikes.

Viewing 11am and Funeral 12 Noon, both Friday in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence. Burial will be at Swan Point Cemetery. bright-funeral.com

To the Family of Sis Thrasher:

I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother, She was such a lovely women, very classie. I remember her from back in the day at Holy Cross COGIC under the leadership Of the late Elder Clearance Farrow. We remember Deacon Thrasher being the Sunday School Superintendent and Sis Thrasher was on the Usher Board. I will never forget them both. and even though is seems hard right now and it looks cloudy, Remember God is just one prayer away.
