Raymond Haglund Obituary

HAGLUND, RAYMOND V., age 85, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008, in Caribou, ME.

Raymond, son of the late Otto Haglund and Florence (Tornwall) Haglund Berglund, was born June 11, 1923, in Worcester, MA. He had a 20-year career in the U.S. Navy, and was recognized with several medals for dedication and valor.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Beatrice; his daughters, Carolyn Hildebrand and Marlene Haglund-Hatch; his son Karl Haglund; his brother, Warren Haglund; three granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.

Funeral service Tuesday at 11 AM at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Division St., East Greenwich. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation prior to the service will be from 9:30-10:30 am in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Raymond's name to the charity of one's choice.

Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. I remember like yesterday coming to your house before Rainbow. Your dad loved those dogs. My dad died in June of 1999 the day before our anniversary.
