Dear Matthew, Stephanie, Stacie, and Melanie, Steven, and Michael,

Your mom has been in my thoughts and prayers over the past year. And I have thought of all of you over the past weeks.
All of us at Matthew's old preschool are remembering your mom and appreciating what love and laughter and courage she brought to life.
She believed you ALL deserved to have the best mom she could be, and the best opportunities she could create for you. She would want you to take her love, her laughter, her courage and her determination, and make use of it in your own lives. Wow, was she proud of each of you! Her love for you will always continue. You will be able to feel it.

I was saddened to hear about Kathy. But then thinking of Kathy always makes me smile! She was a wonderful woman, friend, and mother. I have the privilege of knowing Stephanie, Stacie and Matthew and I miss having you all around. Group isn't the same without you guys! If you ever need anything you know you can ask me! Your Mom was always there for me and if I can help I will. I see a lot of your Mom in you three and I can see that her memory will live on in the hearts and eyes of her children.

I think you all know what Kathy meant to me. She saved my life in this town where, quote from Mr. Leckonby to Kathy: "you ain't no resident 'til you been here for 30 yar". (I was 2 years up on her and always let her know it!) We have many, many good memories with our families together. Kathy was always there for me. When I needed advice about my job or my family, I was always amazed at her wisdom and her wit. Her quick wit especially. Oh, how she made me laugh!! I miss her every day. Every day at 11:30 I still wait for the phone to ring. Every day at 11:30, even when the phone doesn't ring, I will still talk to her. I also miss all of you. You became family to me and I thank her for that, too.
I love you all -
Barbara

First, I must tell all of you that I'm sorry for your loss. Kathy was the kind of person that we could talk to about anything. She had a joyful spirit and was always willing to pitch in. Her attitude was positive and proactive. She touched so many lives! Whenever one of the families we served needed something Kathy was on the forefront getting things done. She moved furniture, delivered clothing, food and gave of her time as well. She never appeared rushed and always looked like she was enjoying herself. I'm proud to have been associated with Kathy. I'm a better person having known her. God Bless all of you.

Dear Joyce and Andy,

Although I haven't seen you in many years, I always enjoyed living next door to you on Bartlett Avenue in Cranston. I have special and fond memories of Kathy playing her guitar and singing at my wedding at St. Paul's Church in June of 1978. (I have some cute pictures of her in my wedding album.) My heart and my prayers go out to you and all of the family at this sad time.

Stephanie, Stacie, Matthew, Melanie, Steven and Michael,

We can not begin to tell you how much your mother meant to us and how sorry we are. I still remember my first call to her to ask if she could babysit our son. We loved her from the start and Joey could not have been loved more. Kathy's love for those around her was truly immeasurable, unselfish and an inspiration. We miss you all and think about you when we drive by the house in West Sand Lake. I hope it helps to know that the world is a better place because of your mom, and all of us that knew her are better people because of knowing her. I guess in that way, she will always be with all of us. Kathy, we love you and feel so lucky to have had the chance to have you in our lives.

Dear Michael, Melanie,Stephen, Stephanie, Stacie, and Matthew,
We're at a loss for words that would comfort you.If Kathy's bravery and joy are any consolation, then she is with you. If your memories of Mom are overflowing with the fun and laughter, accept that as a sign from God that she's present with you and has room enough in her hands to hold the hearts of 6 beautiful children forever.
