Hope Johnson Obituary

JOHNSON, HOPE DAVIDSON, 94, died peacefully in her sleep in her daughter's home in Essex, Connecticut on August 29. She was the wife of the late George William Davidson and the late William Reed Johnson. Hope is survived by her three children, George W. Davidson, III of Barrington, Gail Overbeck of New Canaan, Connecticut, Suzy Burke of Essex, Connecticut. She is also survived by her three step-children, Bill Johnson of Wakefield, Rhode Island, Suzy Stover of Asheville, North Carolina, and Cathy Poissant of Assonet, Massachusetts. In addition, Hope leaves twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, many close and loving friends, and her devoted dog, Katie.

A celebration of her life is scheduled for Saturday, September 6 at 1:00 PM at St. John's Church, Main and Cross Streets, Essex, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Church, Essex, in Hope's name. Arrangements by Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, Centerbrook.
