Sophie A. Molak

MOLAK, SOPHIE A. (MITERA) 87, of Tobie Avenue passed away at her home Sunday August 31, 2008 surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous one year battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Dr. Ferdinand J. Molak, D.D.S.

Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Jan and Katarzyna (Misterka) Mitera.

A communicant of St. Joseph's Church of Central Falls, Sophie was involved in a number of parish activities and organizations including the Holy Rosary Society, the former Senior Citizens and the former Orchard Lake Schools Ladies Auxiliary Chapter 22. She was also a member of the Rhode Island Chapter of the Kosciuzko Foundation.

Sophie's generosity extended well beyond her parish as she supported a wide range of charitable causes. Her greatest joy was providing for her family.

Besides her beloved husband she leaves her loving children Sophia C. Mone and her husband Charles K. of Belmont, MA, Mary Ann Molak of Cambridge, MA, Ferdinand J. Molak Jr. Esq., of Pawtucket, Dr. Andrew J. Molak D.M.D. and his wife Ann M. of Barrington and Christopher J. Molak and his wife Marilyn J. of Coventry. She also leaves her 8 cherished grandchildren Christina Mone, Laura Mone, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Emily Molak, C. Nicholas, Jessica and Lucas Molak. She was the devoted sister of Helen Augustyn of Pawtucket, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Molak's funeral will be held Thursday September 4, 2008 at 8:30 A.M. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home, 342 High Street, Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 391 High Street, Central Falls at 10:00 A.M. CALLING HOURS WEDNESDAY FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
