Mary Botelho Obituary

BOTELHO, MARY E. (COREY), 89, of Fort Street, passed away Tuesday September 2, 2008 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Alfred Botelho.

Born in East Providence, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Maria J. (Rezendes) Correia.

Mary had worked in the Anesthesia Department in Rhode Island Hospital.

She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church.

She was the loving mother of Patricia Botelho Zinno of East Providence and Catherine Miguel of Rumford and was the proud grandmother of Jennifer L. and Jonathan E. Faria and the proud great grandmother of Noah, Nate and Bella.

She was the sister of the late Thomas and Joseph Corey.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9AM from the PERRY/MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME 2555 Pawtucket Avenue East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Francis Xavier Church North Carpenter St. East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in Mary's memory to the Newman YMCA 472 Taunton Ave. Seekonk, MA. 02771 would be deeply appreciated.

I live nearby Mrs. Botelho and although I didn't know her personally I did see her on a regular basis walking with I believe her great grandaughter and picking flowers with her along the way but only the ones that grew outside peoples yards..lol... And they would stop and say hi she was always smiling and so great with her grandaughter I'll miss seeing them while I'm outside doing yardwork.
