I wanted to give my deepest sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I worked with Norma & I know the love she had for her children and grandchildren. She was a great nurse & a great person. May God give her the peace she deserves and may He help her family through yet another difficult time. Lori & I will keep you in our prayers.

Christina, I can't tell you how sorry I am. I just read what you wrote and you continue to amaze me with your strength to get through yet another tragedy in your young life. You are my inspiration. You were the best daughter and there is nothing else you could have done for your mom. She is at peace now. I just want you to know how very proud I am of you and that you are always in my heart and thoughts.

Mommy I love you. And I love you with all of my heart and all of my soul. Not a word could describe how much you meant to me, you were my everything. I always wanted to make you proud, and make you happy because I know you had so much pain inside of you, and I wanted to take it all away. I would have done anything to save you and I would do anything to be with you again, or to feel your touch. But I have my own little girl now and I must move on and be strong for her. I will be patient for the day that you and I can be reunited, but till then I will think of you everyday. I love you mommy and I am so very sorry for your pain you suffered but may god relieve you and open the beautiful gates of heaven for now you are free, and with jimmy.
- And for friends and family especially Aunty Lori and Uncle Steven I thank everyone for your support for helping me to find this peace within myself to be strong and that my mother is also at peace.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Norma was my dearest friend and confidant many years ago when we were young mothers and students in nursing school. She is the reason I am a nurse today. I loved her dearly and even though we lost touch many years ago, she was on my mind often. I am utterly devestated at the news of her passing.
