Mary-Lou,you were the most caring and loving sister a brother could ever want. All through my childhood you showed love and gave me guidance. You always felt from your heart that family was one of the most important things one could ever ask for and one would realize this by all the pictures and clippings you had displayed in your home. We know you are resting with your LORD whom you loved so dearly, and with all your family that went home before you. I and my family miss you .
Love...Brother Tony, Dottie, Tony Jr. and Diana.

I was honored to have had the pleasure to know and share time with Mrs Almeida. She was honorable and gracious; and what a spirit! She certainly had a zest for life, and that is often lost as people grow old.
I admired her no nonsense approach to life. She is the only person I know that can get all dressed up with heels and go to the beach and hang out.
Her faith in the Lord was visible ever time you were in her presence. The Lord was there during her life and also during her "short" period of suffering. It is always sad to see the physical person leave us, however, knowing that she is with her son and that she has eternal life is also a reason to smile and celebrate Mrs Almeida.
To the entire Almeida family my deepest sympathy to you all.

Cousin Mary-Lou, more like my sister, you are already missed but I am so happy to know your suffering is over and you are now meeting your Lord who will give you peace and rest. How wonderful it must be to be beside your beloved son Raymond, your Mom and Dad, Brothers, Grandparents, and Tia Tia Alice who adored you. It gives me comfort to know you are with them all. May your soul rest in peace. Amen!

It was a pleasure to met Mary Lou in 1980s, when my future husband introduced her to me . It was my treasures to have her in my memories when I visited in Rhode Island. Paulo highly talked about her .

Grandma,
I'm going to miss our talks on the phone and your wisdom that you always imparted on me. I always continued to learn from you, especially the pride, joy and love for The Lord that you always showed to everyone. While all of us who are left behind will miss you dearly, I take comfort in knowing you are home with the Lord, and my Dad in Eternal Happiness. I love you!

from the Pires Family, my mom and dad always talked so highly of your mom and all the wonderful times they had together. My father always looked forward to her visits to Bristol and taping the memories and sending your mom a copy of the video which she enjoyed so much. She will be missed and may all the memories you have help you through this most difficult time. William and Connie Pires

There is noone like her. My deepest sympathies to all: Uncle Joe, Josie, Terry, MaryLou, Bernadette, and Carol Lee, and to all your families. You know how much your mother was loved. She will be missed. I thank you all for sharing your parents with all of us cousins. I'm sure it wasn't easy at times, but we certainly benefited from having her presence in our lives. Auntie Mary Lou willingly gave advice, guidance, help, with her very own brand of passion, and provided wonderful experiences to so many of us. Those fond times spent at 14 Broadcommon Road, the football games, the horses, the aunts, the uncles, the cousins, trips to NYC, and Florida are etched in my memory forever. I am so very grateful for her life. I am convinced that she is in glory with her Lord, whom she never once wavered from testifying about during her life. She is at rest. We grieve but know that her sufferings are finished and she has arrived at the destination that she spent her whole life journeying toward, with her Lord and Savior. I love you all. Please know that you are held in my thoughts and prayers always. Love, Anna
