Manuel Barbosa Obituary
He was born in Sao Miguel, Azores a son of the late Francisco and Maria deConceiao (deOliveira) Barbosa.
Mr. Barbosa worked in facilities & equipment repair for the Imperial Pearl Company before retiring. He previously worked for the Tower Iron Works Inc. and was also a member of the United Iron Workers Union.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters; Nivea daRosa of Coventry, Lily Browning of Providence; two sons; Manuel F. Barbosa of Providence, Steven M. Barbosa of Narragansett; two sisters; Carmen Barbosa and Lucy Rodrigues both of East Prov.; two brothers; Tony Barbosa of MA; Joao Barbosa of New Foundland; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Maria Cravinho, Frank and Gil Barbosa.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 10 A.M. from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Ave. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 A.M. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 5-8.
