Douglas D'Aguanno Obituary

D'AGUANNO, DOUGLAS G., 49, of Briggs Street, Cranston, passed away Monday, September 15, 2008 at Veterans Administration Regional Medical Center in Providence. He was the former husband of Natasha J. (Giusti) D'Aguanno of Cranston, and son of the late Nicholas D'Aguanno.

Douglas worked in the jewelry industry and later as a real estate agent before retiring due to illness. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran.

Besides his former wife, he was the devoted father of Domenic A. D'Aguanno of CT and Rachel A. D'Aguanno and John G. D'Aguanno, both of Cranston; and dear brother of the late Nicholas D'Aguanno.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid's Church, 1231 Plainfield Street, Johnston, followed by interment with Military Honors at RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.

Doug's family has my sincerest sympathy. I can't remember everyone from Western Hills (where we met about 30 yrs. ago,) but it's easy to picture Doug because he was so popular.

You always knew when he was in the room because he quickly became the center of attention!

Like you, I'm sure that he's in a better place.

I KNEW DOUGIE SINCE THE 70'S WHEN WE DROVE TO FLORIDA TOGETHER .NEXT TIME I SAW HIM WAS THIS PAST JULY AT ST.MARYS FEAST.I HAVE GOOD MEMORIES OF HIM AND HIS BROTHER NICK- THEY WILL BOTH NOT BE FORGOTTEN--ALL GODS BLESSINGS TO THEIR FAMILIES

I am very sorry for your loss. I am a friend of Douggie's but haven't seen him in about 7 years. We used to hang around together with some other friends and had lost touch over the years. After hearing about his passing I found out he lived about a mile from me, and never knew it! Douggie, gonna miss you bud!
