Rene Nolin Obituary

NOLIN, RENE J., 83, formerly of Pawtucket and Port St. Lucie, FL, died on Sept. 16, 2008 in Pascoag.

He was a son of the late Leon R. and Florina (Riendeau) Nolin. As a young US Army soldier during WWII in Angio, Italy he suffered an injury which left him completely disabled for the rest of his life.

Survivors are seven sisters: Doris Letellier of Pascoag, Claire Pepin of North Providence, Estelle DelDonno of S. Attleboro, Theresa Ouelette of Stuart, FL, Alice Lapinsky of Lovell, ME, Diane Provencher of Southboro, MA, Rev. Sister Marie Frances of the Poor Clare Sisters, Andover, MA and several nieces and nephews, including Michael Letellier, his caretaker, of Burrillville.

The funeral will be held on Frday at 9:30 AM from the DARLINGTON MORTUARY OF L. HEROUX & SON, 1042 Newport Ave., Pawtucket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Cecilia Church, Central Ave., Pawtucket. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. Burial with Military Honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Odyssey Health Care, 2374 Post Rd., Suite 206, Warwick, RI 02886 would be appreciated.

We remember Great Uncle Rene when we were growing up and though we have not seen him in a long time we still feel we lost a real gentleman. He will always be remembered in our hearts and memories.
