"God Only Takes The Best"

GOD saw that he was getting tired
and a cure was not meant to be

So He put His arms around him
and whispered "Come With Me"

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer
and watched him fade away

Although we loved him dearly
we could not make him stay

A golden heart stopped beating
and a warm loving heart to rest

GOD broke our hearts to prove to us
that He only takes the best

The time had come for him to leave,
He did not want to go
But God had other plans for him,
He said, "I need you so."
So he has left this world of ours
And we're so very sad
But we'll think of all the happy memories
And the great times we had.
For memories stay in our heart
Forever and a day
So if we think of him often,
He'll never go away.

Dear Shirley & Benji:
This is so hard to believe, my heart goes out to both of you. I rememeber the good old days when the kids were little, it was so much fun with Benny. You are in my prayers and in my heart. I am only a phone call away. God bless both of you.
