Alvin Waksler Obituary

WAKSLER, ALVIN, 83, died Tuesday in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Adele (Rosen) Waksler. They were married for 58 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Israel and Eva (Sief) Waksler, he had lived in Cranston for over 50 years. Alvin was a WW-II Third Army veteran, serving in the European Theatre. He was an electrical hardware salesman for many years, retiring in 1996. He was a lifelong Red Sox and Boston Bruins Fan.

Devoted father of Ilene Moore and her husband, Dennis, of Cranston and David Waksler and his fiancee, Cathy Vachon, of Smithfield. Dear brother of Jerome Waksler and his wife, Carole, of Somerset, MA and the late Harvey Waksler. Loving grandfather of Jason Moore and his wife, Kristine, of Cranston. Cherished uncle of Tracy and Craig.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements by SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston.
