Alice Hagopian Obituary

HAGOPIAN, ALICE 'ARSHALOUS', 97, formerly of Hamilton House, Smith St., North Providence, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Elmhurst Extended Care Facility in Providence.

Born in Providence, the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Hachadourian) Der Hagopian, she lived in Rehoboth and Seekonk, MA, before moving to North Providence in 1994.

Alice was office manager at Crestwood Country Club in Rehoboth for 7 years before retiring in 1980, and previously was office manager at the former Beacon Jewelry Co. in Providence for 25 years. She was a member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church and its Senior Citizens Group. She also enjoyed golfing.

Alice was the sister of the late Armen Hagopian, Esther Kayajan and Ann Arzigian, and she is survived by two nephews, David Kayajan and Armen Hagopian; and two nieces, Arleen Arzigian and Janice Narsassian.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Friday at 10 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Church, Providence, followed by interment at Spring Vale Cemetery in Rumford. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence, RI 02908.

Aunty Alice was a wonderful person. She was always so energetic. I was lucky to have someone like her for an aunt.
