Concetta Criscione Obituary

CRISCIONE, CONCETTA 'CONNIE', 83, of Eliza Street, Providence, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Emanuele and Concetta (Cintolo) Criscione.

Miss Criscione was a time clerk for the former Brown and Sharpe Company of Providence for many years until her retirement. She was also employed by Blue Cross, Blue Shield of RI. Connie was the first woman president of a union at Brown and Sharpe Company.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Rose Pompei of New York, John Criscione of Coventry, Yolanda Criscione, Emanuela Iacono both of Warwick, Salvatore Criscione of Coventry, Emanuele Criscione of Cranston, Joseph Criscione and Marianna Criscione, both of Providence. Connie was the sister of the late Marianna and Joseph Criscione, Sadie Andreozzi and Elena Dolan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Atwells Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 901 Atwells Avenue, Providence, RI 02909-3195.

To The Criscione Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of our beloved Connie. I was out of the country only to come back to hear the sad news. Connie was a great friend to me for many many years having met her at BC/BS . Connie was a beloved AUNT to my 2 daughters she was at their baptisms communions and confirmations we truly are heart broken to have learned of her passing. Connie was a wonderful, kind caring, unselfish person and all who had the cahance to no her Loved Her. I am so sorry I did not get a chance to say goodbye..We had just brought her back a pinocchio from Italy and we never got to give it to her. To all her family my condolences to all of you she loved you all so much. Glenda Comeau and Family
