Joyce Balasco Obituary
She was born in Providence a daughter of the late Domenic and Yola (Gallucci) Folcarelli.
Joyce was employed by the State of Rhode Island, and enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her family was her life and she loved spending time with them, she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Dawn Balasco and her husband George of Johnston, Nadine Balasco of Cape Coral, FL, her longtime companion, Richard Friden of Johnston, her loving siblings, Lorna Cioci and her husband Fred of Cranston, David Folcarelli and his fiance Marilyn of Cranston, Douglas Folcarelli and his wife Elizabeth of Glocester.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Ann's Church, Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday 4-8 pm. Please visit www.nardolillo.com for more information and online condolences.

Dear Dawn and Nadine,
I was very sad to hear of mom's passing. She was truly a great person and I am glad I had the chance to know her. She was one of the most selfless people I new.

Dawn
I'm not sure if you remember me but we went to Western Hills and West together .I just wanted to express to you and your family that I'm sorry about your mother. My mom passed away two years ago next week and it still is very hard at times. Just wanted to let you know you can e-mail me and talk if you need to(that has been helping me ).

Dawn, Nadine and Family-
I am both shocked and saddened. You have my deepest sympathy. Your mom was the "cool" mom of the neighborhood. I remember those gorgeous fingernails of hers; always a new color. We all liked hanging with you because Mama J fit right in with us. Not to mention that all the boys loved Auntie Lorna and all the girls had eyes for handsome Uncle Doug.
We had some good old summers in the "fort" days. Once again, I am so sorry for your loss. All the best to you and yours.

I am very sorry for the passing of Joyce. I had the honor of knowing her for a few short years. She was a very special woman who cared deeply about her family. I know she has a strong loving extended family. She is in a better place now and truly at peace. to nadine,dawn,david, richard,& lorna, i'm so sorry to hear that joyce has passed on.she was a caring person,there for everyone. especially for me. always had a smile weather things were going bad or good a good person. even though i haddent seen you all in awhile you all still was missed and thought of. sorry to see that she is gone ,but she is with god now and still will be missed and love always. i'm so sorry.

She was a "One of a Kind".She was loving, kind, sincere and always a best friend to everyone she touched. My memories of our 40 years together, are awesome. We shared alot of wonderful times, happy and sad, and we were always there for each other. I will miss her, and her friendship.
