George Nicolaides Obituary

NICOLAIDES, GEORGE P., 82, of Oaklawn Avenue, a retired Meat Department Manager, died Tuesday in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the devoted husband of Anna M. (Ofcarick) for twenty six years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Paul and Theresa (Dukakis) Nicolaides.

Mr. Nicolaides was a veteran of The United States Navy, having served in World War II.

He had been employed with Smith Food King, California for thirty years until his retirement.

He was a member of The Church of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Cranston.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons Stanley Nicolaides of Santa Barbara, CA and Andrew D. Nicolaides of West Warwick; a brother Thomas Nicolaides of Oxford, PA; a sister Helen Cappos of Culver City, CA; and a grandson Kyle M. Nicolaides. He was the father of the late Paul Nicolaides and the brother of the late Freida Maneos.

His funeral and burial will be private. Calling hours respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to The Church of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, RI 02906 would be appreciated.
