She came to be a part of my sister's wedding in 1964 when I was in the 8th grade. She brought her children to Maine , New York, and Connecticut to spend time with our family and share moments of love and laughter, she came to my wedding [without knowing my husband] miles and miles of travel----but the frosting on the cake came when she drove with her family up to Maine for my Mom and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary and being so far from her dialysis! Being so far away from us--you may not hear the words of praise and bravery we feel about your mother--but let me tell you now--she is in our thoughts and prayers and that includes you. The length of time of LIFE maybe we would trade but the quality wouldn't be TOUCHED. Alice had a quality that regardless of miles--it was always worth the travel! Remarkable person and friend to us all! Never forgotten! Love Maggie Damon Tourtillotte

I lost my best friend. May she rest in peace in the arms of our savior. Thankfully, we have 46 years of wonderful memories to comfort us. We loved her. She was our sister.

Rachel and Danny,
Your mom meant the world to our family. She was a second mother to me and a grandmother to my children. We love her and are blessed for being loved by her.
