Rita Blanchette Obituary

BLANCHETTE, RITA (LaMARCHE), 88, died at home Friday, September 26, 2008 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Adrien Blanchette, Sr. and a daughter of the late Wilfrid and Rose Anna (Martin) LaMarche.

Mrs. Blanchette was a spinner for several mills in the Woonsocket area for 15 years and after raising her family was a maid for the former Clover Leaf Motel in Lincoln before retiring. She was the beloved mother of 2 sons, Adrien and Paul Blanchette both of Chepachet. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Luke and Erin Blanchette, several nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 am from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave., (Rte.44) Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Eugene Church, 1251 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours Monday 5-7 pm.
