Robert Asels Obituary

ASELS, ROBERT H., JR., 89, of Warwick, a truck driver for Texaco for 33 years before retiring, died Friday, September 26, 2008 at Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Inpatient Center. He was the husband of the late Dorothy E. (Whitehead) Asels and a son of the late Robert H. and Mary (Clancy) Asels.

Mr. Asels was a WWII Navy Veteran. He was the beloved father of Robert J. Asels, John R. Asels and the late Dorothy 'Renee' Bernier and Jeanine Y. Viau. Brother of the late Ralph Asels and Mary Thompson. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Benedict Church, Beach Ave at 10 AM. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Inpatient Center, C/O 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 will be appreciated.

BOBBY, JOHNNY AND FAMILY,
PLEASE ACCEPT MY SINCERE SYMPATHIES WITH THE LOSS OF YOUR DAD. HE WAS A GOOD MAN AND A GREAT NEIGHBOR.
