Claudette Dion Obituary
She was born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Hector and Dorilla (Gagne) Dextradeur. Her entire life was dedicated to her family.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Paulette R. Dion of Lincoln; four sons, Paul J. Dion and his wife Katie, Gerard R. Dion and his wife Kelley of Cumberland, Raymond H. Dion and his wife Debra of Las Vegas and Robert W. Dion and his wife Kelli-Anne of North Smithfield; three sisters, Rachelle Dextradeur, Jeannine Dextradeur, Vivian Despots; three brothers, George, Leo and Eugene Dextradeur; and 12 grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Lucy Robidoux and Henri Dextradeur.
Claudette enjoyed singing, playing the piano and a good card game. Her love of sewing included making over 700 baby quilts for Hasbro Children's Hospital. She was also a member of the Chapeau Rouge (Red Hats) and the Royal Travelers.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:30 a.m. from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Aidan Church, Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Visiting Nurse Service of Greater RI, 6 Blackstone Valley Place, Suite 515, Lincoln, RI 02865.

My dear sister, Claudette, accomplished much in her life. Her close and loving family is testimony to her success as a caring and loving mother who lived up to her responsibilities in life. She never enjoyed good health, but she didn’t let that stop her from going out, laughing, and enjoying the people around her. She will be greatly missed. We will never forget her.
