Omer R. Goulet

GOULET, OMER R., 85, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008. He was the beloved husband of the late Satenig R. (Avedesian) Goulet.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Armand and Aurore (Boisvert) Goulet, he resided in Pawtucket since 1969. Omer was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was the Purchasing Manager for the Quaker Fabrics Company in Fall River for many years until retiring in 1986. Omer was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 1014, Attleboro and a Past Commander of the American Legion, James Stanton Post #5 in Central Falls.

He leaves five children, Paul Goulet of Rumford, Maryann Oroian of Texas, Stephen Goulet of Maine, Arthur Goulet of Seekonk and Rebecca Pangborn of Seekonk; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Edmond Goulet, Irene Goulet and Pearl Jette. Omer was brother to the late Normand Goulet.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 10am from the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket followed by a Funeral Service at 11am in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence. Interment will follow at Seekonk Cemetery, Seekonk. VISITATION will be held Monday 5 to 8pm.
