Nicholas DiMatteo Obituary

DiMATTEO, NICHOLAS, age 86 of Child St., Warren, formerly of Barrington and Bristol passed away October 5th at Crestwood Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Marianne (Ruggerio) and the late Rose (Mascola).

Born in Barrington, a son of the late Joseph and Michelina (DiSalvo) DiMatteo.

Before retirement, Mr. Di Matteo was employed by Deep Rock Soda Co. as a salesperson for many years. Nicholas was a World War II Navy Veteran, and a member of the VFW of Bristol and The Bristol Elks Lodge.

He was the brother of Mary Dellefratte and Adeline Serio both of Barrington. He was also the brother of the late Angelina Camara. He was the Uncle of Cheryl Dellefratte and Frank Serio of Barrington, and the late Louise Dellafratte.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the WILBUR-ROMANO Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angel's Church, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol. Visiting hours are Wednesday from to 4-8 p.m.
