Manuel Neves Obituary
Born in Horta Faial Acores, he was the son of the late Manuel Neves and the late Maria DeCeu Mederios. He moved to this country in 1969, settling in Pawtucket. Mr. Neves was a Quarry Worker for the Boston Power Crushing Company, for the past five years. He was a member of Irmandade do Espirito Santo da Ilha do Pico of New Bedford, and was also a member of the Teamsters Local 170.
Besides his beloved wife he leaves one daughter, Nina Mourao, and son-in-law John of Rehoboth; one son, Steven Neves of Pawtucket; two grandsons Ethan and Nicholas Mourao; and several neices and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria deOliveira.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 10 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Consolation Church, 10 Webster St., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in the Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Manny from our many years at Elizabeth Webbing where we both worked. He was a good man and I know he will be sorely missed. My condolences to the entire family.
