Robert Mollo Obituary

MOLLO, ROBERT D., 80, of North Providence, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the loving husband of Mary L. (Calicchia) Mollo; they recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Clara Mollo.

A 1946 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, he was an insurance agent with Prudential Insurance, a real estate agent with Kelly and Picerne, and worked in the Division of Personnel for the State of Rhode Island before retiring.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his devoted son, Joseph Mollo of Lincoln and his wife Lisa. He is also the loving grandfather of Joseph and Zachary Mollo of Lincoln, and dear brother of Louise Marandola and Eileen Varone, both of North Providence, Guido Mollo of Warwick and the late Roger, Ann and Flora Mollo.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony's Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS WEDNESDAY 4-8 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to: American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
