Alphonse Bianco Obituary

BIANCO, ALPHONSE J., 86 of Jensen Beach, Florida, passed away Monday, October 13, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Slowey) Bianco.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late James Bianco and Carmela (Fascilione) Bianco. The brother of the late Joseph Bianco, Isabel LaCassia and Teresa Casciani.

Mr. Bianco was an Army veteran of World War II and served in several European battles and campaigns. He was a member of the St. Martin de Porres Church in Jensen Beach and active in The Knights of Columbus. He was a professional truck / auto mechanic and avid classic car enthusiast.

He is survived by his five children. Dorothy Oseff, Warwick, RI, Denise Field, Guilderland, NY, James Bianco, Kernersville, NC, Gerard Bianco, Liberty, NC and Joan Barbarotto, Guilderland, NY. Sons and daughters in law, Mark Oseff, Richard Field, Kim Bianco, Judith Bianco and Paul Barbarotto. Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th at 9:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick, RI. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Tomorrow Fund, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02903.
