Robert Craig Obituary
He was born in Providence a son of Robert L. and Ann (Murphy) Craig Jr. of Warwick. Mr. Craig was a Police Officer employed by the Charlestown Police Department before retiring last year with the rank of Lieutenant. He was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a member of the Friendly Son's of St. Patrick.
Besides his wife and parents he is survived by his son Robert L. Craig IV of Narragansett, his daughter Kelly Ann Craig of Narragansett and his stepson Jeremy Browning and his wife Kelly of Glastonbury, CT. He was the grandfather of Maeve Browning and brother of Michael Craig of West Warwick, Elizabeth Dunton of Narragansett, Carolyn Picozzi and Susan Almonte both of Warwick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed by his many great friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:am in St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Rd., Narragansett and may call at the Nardolillo Funeral Home SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd., (RT. 1A) Narragansett on Monday from 4-8 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the R.I. Blood Center, 405 Promenade St., Providence, RI 02908.

I met Bob Craig in 1989 when I was a reporter for The Narragansett Times, covering Charlestown. He impressed me as a good man and fine cop. When I left the Times, I had always wanted to contact him and see how he was doing. I was recently in Charlestown and heard that Bob had retired. Later, I heard of his passing. I wished I had known him better and stayed in touch with him. My sympathy to his family, friends and colleagues.

Over the years our families seemed to have gone separate ways, but we ARE still family!! My condolences go out to all, sad to say, my cousin passes and I know nothing of his life!! Nice to read all the condolences, sounds like he was a nice young man. Wish we were closer. My love to the rest of the family!!!
