Osvaldo deFaria Obituary

deFARIA, OSVALDO F., 71, of Richfield Ave., died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Evergreen House Health Center. He was the husband of Leonilde (Silva) deFaria.

He was born in Brava, Cape Verde a son of the late Alfred and Ida (Feijoo) deFaria.

Mr. deFaria was a supervisor for Modern Die & Machine Company before retiring. He was a member of the Ideal Club in East Bridgewater.

Besides his wife he leaves two daughters; Marlise Sa, and Suzette DeFranco, three sons; Osvaldo deFaria Jr., Franklin deFaria and Steven deFaria, three sisters, Maria Alfia, Carlota Faria and Constance Faria, one brother, Joaquim deFaria, thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Deborah Preston and brother of the late Sylvia daCosta.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 A.M. from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Martha Church, Pawtucket Ave. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9.
