Dear Mauro Family,
I want to extend my most sincere sympathies to you all. When I think about Jan Mauro I think of a lady of extraordinary kindness, warmth, and peace. I'll never forget the support she provided to me and all of the parents involved with junior golf at PJCC. Or the interest she always had in how everyone was in our family. Unselfish, caring and always interested in the well-being of others, that's the Mrs. Mauro I will remember.
You've lost a wonderful Wife and Mother and we've lost a wonderful friend. I am sorry I couldn't attend the services. I am traveling in China. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.

To "Uncle Ed" and the family...
You and Jan have treated us so well over the years and we have so enjoyed all the family events and life triumphs. Your love and concern for us, especially your dynamic support for Beth in 1995 as we all traveled to Atlantic City for the Miss America Pageant, will never be forgotten. We will miss Jan, the gentle Southern lady who you relied on so much as your life's partner, but know that her final wishes are now realized as she goes on to her heavenly reward. Her life well lived is a testament to her gentility, humility, kindness and loving and caring spirit for all in her immediate family and the "extended family" which is so large and grieves this loss. We shall not forget such a remarkable person as Jan. Rest in Peace!
