Agostino Bucci Obituary

BUCCI, AGOSTINO A., SR. 'GUS', 82, of Woonasquatucket Avenue, passed away October 26th at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the beloved husband of Anna M. (Rotondo) Bucci for 62 years.

Born in North Providence, a son of the late Arthur and Angelina (Pesaturo) Bucci.

Mr. Bucci retired as a Captain in the Sheriff's Writ Department for the State of Rhode Island. He also had worked at Quonset Point; he was a member of the VFW post and the American Legion, and was a WWII Navy Veteran.

Father of Agostino A. Bucci, Jr., Sylvia Wolford and the late Arthur J. Bucci, brother of John A. Bucci, Maria Matarazzo, Anna Costa, Concetta DaSilva, Delores Norberg, Carmella Hebert, Angela Viola, Antonia Hornig, and the late Arturo Bucci and Frances DeCristofaro; grandfather of Richard and Paul Wolford and Laura Bucci, great-grandfather of 3.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 4-7 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 10 a.m in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. Please omit flowers. Burial with military honors will be held Friday at the R.I Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. To express your condolences through our online guestbook visit www.mem.com.
