Alicia McMurtrie Obituary

McMURTRIE, ALICIA S. (MEISSER), of Old River Rd., Lincoln, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at home. She was the wife of Arthur J. McMurtrie. They recently celebrated their sixty-third wedding anniversary.

Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine (Siek) Meisser.

Mrs. McMurtrie was a graduate of Colby Jr. College, NH. She was a homemaker and an avid golfer, enjoying her membership at Kirkbrae Country Club.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Richard McMurtrie of Hyannis, MA, a daughter, Nancy McMurtrie of Gilford, NH, a brother, R. Stanley Meisser of Gilford, NH, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was grandmother of the late Jason Greenough and sister of the late Rudolf Meisser.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 10AM in St. Ambrose Church, Albion. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Tuesday from 6-8PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Church, 191 School St., Albion, RI 02802. www.holtfuneralhome.com
