Anna Laffey Obituary

LAFFEY, ANNA M. (LEMIECH), 92, of Pawtucket died Sunday at home. She was the wife of the late John F. Laffey.

Born in Uxbridge, MA she was the only child of the late Stanislaw and Agnes (Banas) Lemiech. She was a retired teacher whose teaching career spanned thirty years. She was a member of the Blackstone Valley Retired Teachers Association and a communicant of St. Teresa Church.

She is survived by twin daughters, Mary J. Laffey of Woburn, MA and Ann E. Laffey of Pawtucket and one cousin Helen Domski of Uxbridge, MA.

A funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the CHEETHAM MORTUARY, INC., 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Uxbridge, MA. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 8 to 9 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana Faber Cancer Institute, Division of Development & the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445-9924 in Anna's memory. www.cheethammortuary.com

I am so sorry to hear your Mom passed away. My thoughts and sympathies go out to you. Although I never knew her, I know you both loved her and took the best care of her. God bless you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are being sent your way to convey how sorry we are to learn of your mother's passing. She was such a pleasant person! We did not learn of the funeral plans until 10/30. We would have met you at St. Mary's Cemetery to represent Eleanor's family. We wanted you to know this.
